Dr. Satish H V, did his MBBS from BMC- finishing in 1989. He did his MS (General Surgery), in Mumbai- LTMG (Sion) Medical College and was the University topper there. He also obtained Diplomate National Board Certification (DNB) in General Surgery and continued at LTMG to finish MCh and also obtained a DNB Certification in Plastic Surgery.

He went for training in Hand and Micro Surgery at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, later joined JSS Medical College and was there for 8 years and was for some time a Professor of Plastic Surgery at JSS. He has been awarded the National and International training fellowship of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India. He is a member of the National Cleft Association (ISCLPA) and National Hand Surgery Association (ISSH)

Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery have been an important part of his early practice. In 16 years of practice, he has performed nearly 12000 procedures and he is interested in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery and has done more than 2000 free operations. Of late Cosmetic surgeries are becoming a major part of work. The improving economy and increasing awareness have led to a surge and his practice is now predominantly cosmetic in nature.

He is now associated with Apollo Hospitals, Sheshadripuram, and Jayanagar along with Dr. Pradeep Y V ho is his colleague here.
