The epidemiology of leptospirosis is changed by animal husbandry, climate, and human behavior. It has ubiquitous distribution and is caused by infection with pathogenic Leptospira species. High mortality is due to its extremely wide spectrum, ranging from subclinical infection to a severe syndrome of multiorgan infection with high mortality. It is also called Weil’s disease. This presentation takes you to a rare and unique case of Weil’s disease which was intelligently treated with ECMO and other treatment options.
