Dr. Anand s. Iyer completed his schooling at Fatima Convent High School, Bhavnagar with laurels. He stood first in the district during SSC and third in the district during HSC. He completed his M.B.B.S. from BJ Medical College. He was successful in being offered a pediatric residency at BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad which he completed under the mentorship of Dr. Shashi Vani, Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics; and subsequently Dr. Pratima Shah, Professor of Pediatrics. He was awarded Gold Medal for standing first in the pediatric residency program and obtained Diploma in Pediatrics and subsequently MD Pediatrics. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Civil Hospital and Medical College, Bhavnagar where he gained valuable experience of 18 months. He went to UK in 2005 to pursue further specialist training in pediatrics and neonatology.
