In general, patients who undergo uncomplicated procedures have the least risk for long-term diet-related complications. In contrast, some patients who underwent complicated and mal-absorptive procedures have the highest risk. Most diet-related surgical complications in post-bariatric surgery can be prevented by restricting the diet prescribed by physicians.
