What you'll learn

Good evidence on remission of type 2 diabetes is possibly the most important recent advance in the management of diabetes in the last decade. This course discusses the promises and pitfalls in diabetes remission. This course will discuss the dire need to work on diabetes remission keeping in mind the huge burden of this disease in our country, the early onset of type 2 diabetes in young people, and the increasing cost of anti-diabetes medications. read more »»

The course will begin with a discussion of a case study depicting the concerns regarding the management of type 2 diabetes in young patients. Further, it will discuss the global as well as Indian research on this important topic. The practical implementation of diabetes remission along with how to deal with common problems during practical implementation will also be discussed. Finally, a small discussion regarding the philosophy of diabetes remission and whether we can call it remission, normalization, reversal, or cure of type 2 diabetes will also be discussed.

She is passionate about patient care, research, academics & community-based activities.

She has studied MD in medicine from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha, where she stood second in the University. She is also trained in the prestigious Department of Endocrinology at Christian Medical College, Vellore. She successfully completed a post-doctoral residential fellowship, Diploma, and MSc in Endocrinology. She is the founder of Endoclinic located in Pune, Maharashtra. Endoclinic functions on the principles of healthcare beyond illnesses.
