  • Refresh your knowledge regarding the mechanisms of action for chemotherapy used in pancreatic cancer.
  • Be aware of the variety of options that exist for symptomatic patients with the palliative disease.
  • Have an understanding of the range of different types of malignant pancreatic tumors.
  • To understand how common each tumor subtype is and how these tumors differ in presentation, management, and prognosis.
  • The learner should be able to be aware of the symptoms associated with neuroendocrine tumors and their biochemical markers.

  • Be aware of the surgical options to help relieve symptoms of unresectable pancreatic cancer.
