What you'll learn

Understanding the cytokine release phenomenon in the novel Coronavirus infection and the associated lung injury resulting in inflammation and scarring of the lung in the COVID-19 patient is considered an essential part of the disease phenomenon.

This course discusses the pathophysiology and virulence of the coronavirus, pathogenesis of pneumonia and ARDS in COVID-19 patients, comparison of COVID-19 and SARS diseases, and the COVID-19 disease on the pulmonary system, and the subsequent impairment in lung function alteration in COVID-19 after recovery. The course also emphasizes on evaluation and differentiation of the lung injury caused by Covid-19 from other consequences.
