What you'll learn

COVID-19 is a respiratory disease with a high potential for easy spread and infectivity. The rate of cases affected by COVID-19 is increasing alarmingly in the past few weeks; with an increase in cases, the requirements for home-to-hospital, inter-hospital, and intrahospital ambulance transfers are also increasing. The ambulance drivers, attenders, and the HCWs handling the ambulance transfer cases are at constant risk of getting themselves exposed to the infection. These risks are avoided with appropriate precautions and proper handling of the cases during transfer.
This course discusses preparing the ambulance for shifting a COVID patient, necessary precautions to be taken while shifting, and protocols for the uncontaminated shift, the guidelines to be followed by HCW’s for treating COVID patients during ambulance transfer, and a lot more.
