What you'll learn
The high infectivity of the COVID-19 and its potential for rapid spread has increased the cases exponentially. Early diagnosis becomes an essential part of treating the disease as well as preventing its further spread. The HCWs working in the diagnostic centers are in close contact with infected specimens and are at risk of exposing themselves to the infection.
Precautions and guidelines during the testing of the samples are essential both for appropriate diagnosis and prevention of getting infected. These precautions and following guidelines during diagnosis can help prevent the spread of infections to the HCW’s from the diseased patient.
This course gives a detailed description of how to train health care workers who work in laboratories/diagnostic labs ineffective handling of the specimens.
