In most of the women, Sacrocolpopexy is an abdominal-prolapse repair that restores pelvic anatomy, although data on long-term (5 to 10 years) durability are limited. This is a surgical technique for repairing pelvic organ prolapse, and reconstruction is achieved with an open abdominal technique or with the use of minimally invasive techniques. Treatment aspects and approaches differ with different types and are chosen in accordance with the type and degree of pelvic organ prolapse, as well as the severity of symptoms. These include Sacrocervicopexy, Colpocleisis, and Burch. Learn more about Sacrocervicopexy/Burch in this course designed by Medvarsity and Dosily.
