Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is a significant health problem that affects the psychological well-being of women. The lifetime risk for POP surgery is reported to be 12.6%, and the annual risk is 4.3 per 1000 women. Apical prolapse is one of the most important issues in pelvic organ prolapse. Laparoscopic lateral suspension using mesh is a minimally invasive technique that effectively treats POP. This technique was introduced as an alternative to sacropexy and proved to be satisfactory and effective, which helps in simultaneous correction of apical and anterior prolapse.
