What you'll learn

AV dissociations are one of the cardiovascular conditions in which the atria and ventricles activate independently of each other. The normal activation that is the activation of sinus node followed by the atria, AV node, and then the His-Purkinje system causing ventricular activation is no longer observed in this condition. read more »»

Different mechanisms and etiology exist for this condition and can be either complete or incomplete, continuous, or intermittent, structural, or functional. Diagnosing this condition is difficult and complicated when a patient is rushed to a hospital in an emergency. Prompt diagnosis helps in easy and early management. Knowledge of the various mechanisms of AV dissociations, degrees of AV block is essential for health care professionals to manage these conditions.

Dr. Jerry Jones, who is currently the CEO of Medicus of Houston, a continuing medical education company, and its chief instructor in advanced electrocardiography had designed and structured this course to explain in detail about AV dissociation conditions, how to recognize them, causes for AV dissociation, etc. This course can be an excellent way to improve the knowledge of AV dissociations for health care professionals, and budding medicos.
