He was the General Secretary of Hellenic Lipidology Society 2007-2013, and President from 2013- today, and also Member of the board of Hellenic Heart Foundation since 2009. He is currently working as a Vice-president of the Hellenic College of Metabolic diseases since 2011.

He was a Member of the board of Hellenic Antihypertensive society 2009-2011. He worked as a Vice-president WG epidemiology and Prevention – Hellenic Heart Society2006-2007 and also President WG epidemiology and Prevention – Hellenic Heart Society 2008-2009., He is the Editor in chief of “Heart and Vessels”, the official publication of the Hellenic Heart Foundation. He Invited as a speaker at national and international congresses more than 600 times. He is the author of 6 chapters in cardiology books, published 180 abstracts in national and international congresses, he is also an Abstract reviewer ESC Annual Congress 2000, 2006-16.”
