It is a way in which the brain reacts to stress and any dangerous situations. When the anxiety occurs In situations other than the above mentioned situations, this is called anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders are the most prevalent mental health conditions in the present times and is prevalent all over the world. Being healthy is important.

However, many a times we tend to focus more on physical health and forget the other aspect – mental health. Many people don’t even notice or are not aware that they are suffering from certain anxiety disorders and delay their therapies to cope up with the stress. Given the lifestyle changes and the kind of stress that individuals are experiencing these days, it is but imperative to focus on the many aspects of mental health as well.

Mental health is an extremely sensitive issue and health care providers hold a huge responsibility while treating patients with such issues. It requires patience, skill, and competency to deal with such patients. One good thing about the disorders is that they can progressively treated by the health care professionals by medications, psychotherapy or a combination of both.
Therefore, this course provides insights on the diagnostic criteria, the role of behavior and the influence of society on patients with anxiety disorders along with creating awareness, management of anxiety disorders etc.
