Mindfulness is the first of four modules that make up Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT’s mindfulness combines Eastern Zen Buddhism with Western theories of thought to create an effective, healing treatment. Mindfulness is an awareness of the present moment which is proven to improve emotion regulation and mood. In this course, you will learn the basic Mindfulness skills of DBT. You’ll become familiar with the basic states of mind and several mindfulness exercises you can use for yourself and share with your clients.
