Allan F. Mirsky, Ph.D., ABPP-CN personally edited the Chapter about his Model of A-D/HD.The amazing Dr. Allan Mirsky wrote a forward to Dr. Mitch Spero’s A-D/HD Book. Dr. Mirsky wrote, “I especially admired the discussion of the multiple etiologies that could give rise to the disorder, the assessment techniques, as well as treatment options in addition, what rings throughout the work is respect and sympathy for those suffering from A-D/HD. This book has my enthusiastic recommendation (June 11, 2019).” The Allan F. Mirsky, Ph.D., ABPP-CN Model of A-D/HD is outlined in regards to Genetics and Neurology in that idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE) has a fairly high concordance with symptoms that we often diagnosed as A-D/HD, and both involve cognitive interruption, a focus disruption or a cognitive shifting disruption. This Seminar gives credit to the work of Greenberg, et.al.(2000) That pointed out that the focus on human chromosome number six may contain basically the juvenile myoclonic epilepsy chromosome, which indicates that there may actually be a genetic marker of A-D/HD. The viewer of this Seminar will learn a composite of Comorbidity with A-D/HD, including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Learning Disabilities, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Adjustment Issues. The Theoretical Approach to the Treatment of A-D/HD by Russell Barkley Ph.D., ABPP is presented. The Fourth Seminar in the Series of Five concludes with a thorough review of many symptoms of Inattention, Hyperactivity, and Impulsivity that necessitate awareness of the many various Risk Factors of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (A-D/HD).
