The prevention, control, and management of sexually transmissible infections is a well recognized cost-effective strategy for controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS in the country and reducing reproductive morbidity among sexually active populations. Individuals with STI have a significantly higher chance of acquiring and transmitting HIV. Syndromic Case Management (SCM) is the cornerstone in STI management, being a comprehensive approach for STI control endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Rajesh served as the Dean of Faculty of Medicine from 2013-2015. Dr.Rajesh has been affiliated with AIMST since the year 2005.
