By the end of this course, you will be able to understand:

  • Understanding regional interdependence of elbow pathology.
  • To appreciate the invaluable concept of a detailed understanding of the complexity of the elbow as a multi structural pathology
  • The role of imaging and the effects of various treatment interventions

What you'll learn

The Elbow consists of complex articular congruity & conformity. Similar to other articular systems it relies on both passive as well as dynamic stability mechanisms for optimal form and force closure. read more »»

An understanding of these stability mechanisms as well as other systems assisting in force closure, both proximal and distal to the elbow, allows the therapist to better manage patients with elbow pain.

The use of elbow-specific assessment tools, including an assessment of potential associated factors such as central sensitization, ensures a more accurate clinical diagnosis. A comprehensive assessment of all relevant structures, including co-morbidities, allows the practitioner to understand the value as well as the limitations of imaging. Treatment & rehabilitation of the elbow should be pain-free & prescriptive. Rehabilitation should be in the form of progressively increased loading, specific to the patient’s functional ability and needs. This webinar aims to assist the clinician to differentiate & diagnose better for more prescriptive management.
