The D614G then replaced the initial SARS-CoV-2 strain in few months to eventually become the dominant form of the virus circulating globally, causing the COVID-19 pandemic. Ever since the virus has undergone several mutations giving rise to multiple variants globally. These mutations in the virus have been affecting children and are confusing the health care professionals in their course. This course aims at providing the learners with an understanding of the variants/strains of the Coronavirus that cause the COVID-19 disease in children.
