What you'll learn

The Session on Microbial Identification describes the ideal clinical sample to be collected for common infectious diseases and explains the concepts of the diagnostic protocol to be adopted depending on the presentation of the case. It also correlates the observations made with the results of the microscopy, culture, antibiogram, and clinical relevance before arriving at the confirmed identification of the organism.
