What you'll learn
Staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome is a complication of Staphylococcus aureus infection in which bacterial toxins act as superantigens that manifests clinically as fever, rash, shock, and rapidly progressive multiple organ failure, often in young, previously healthy patients. It is so challenging for clinicians to diagnose and manage these patients. So, all clinicians from all medical specialties should have a firm grasp of the presentation and management. This expert speaker course gives you that information. Learn more facts and myths about Staphylococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome in this expert speaker course.

Instructor
Janarthan is a Physician-Scientist who is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
He graduated with a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Molecular & Cellular Biotherapies. During his master’s research stint at INSERM, France, he received the opportunity and experience to work with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Earlier on, he received his medical degree in 2014 and has 5 years of working experience as a clinician in various medical & surgical specialties. Therefore, he sees himself as a ‘medical generalist’ who is interested in applying a systems approach to understand medicine & human physiology. Nonetheless, he also has keen interests in the fields of transfusion medicine, clinical virology & immunology.
He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in the field of viral immunology i.e. studying B cell immunodominance using influenza viral strains as models. As part of his doctoral studies, he is also receiving a structured pedagogical education & training in the fields of microbiology & immunology at the Institute for Biomedicine, Sahlgrenska Academy.
He is keen to explore educational technology and pedagogy i.e. the science of learning. Hence, he takes great pleasure in having the opportunity to educate the new generation of physicians, interdisciplinary scientists, and bioengineers.”
