About the Webinar

This webinar will explore two types of heart disorders - bundle branch blocks and fascicular blocks. Heart diseases, or better known as cardiovascular diseases, are the leading cause of 'death by a disease’ around the world. One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of awareness and late diagnosis in CVDs.

Bundle branch block is a condition in which there's a delay or blockage along the pathway that electrical impulses travel to make your heartbeat. It sometimes makes it harder for your heart to pump blood efficiently through your body. The fascicular block involves the anterior or posterior fascicle of the left bundle branch. Interruption of the left anterior fascicle causes left anterior hemiblock characterized by modest QRS prolongation and a frontal plane QRS axis more negative than ?30°.

Awareness of CVDs - recognising symptoms, diagnosing disorders, treating and then managing the diseases or disorders - is key to reducing the high mortality rate. This applies not just to cardiologists and heart specialists, but also to physicians and healthcare professionals in emergency and critical care.
