Minor surgical procedures are small procedures which are done in either emergency or outpatient department when it involves the utilization of local anesthesia. They cause minimal complications that usually don’t require any inpatient admission and needs very little equipment for performing. Some of the procedures include mucocele excision, laparoscopic procedures, biopsies, abscess incision, and drainage, etc. All these procedures also need a certain set of pre-procedural considerations to perform. These also need strict aseptic conditions and environment following OSHA and the center for disease control guidelines.
